TELL THE FDA: HOLD BIG AG ACCOUNTABLE FOR UNNECESSARY ANTIBIOTIC USE IN ANIMALS!

Misuse of antibiotics in healthy animals is breeding antibiotic-resistant bacteria. Government lab tests of supermarket meat show shockingly high numbers of antibiotic-resistant bacteria. In 2015, over 30 million pounds of antibiotics were sold for use in food animals – eclipsing the amount sold to treat people.

These life-saving medicines are used to treat serious infections in people. But in large factory farms, antibiotics are given to animals to promote faster growth and prevent the diseases that come with overcrowding.

We want healthy food, not animal farms that breed superbugs. Please take action and sign EWG’s petition today.

Use this form to tell the Food and Drug Administration to hold farm businesses accountable for their use of antibiotics in animals.
