Tell the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission:

Ban products containing fire retardants

Many everyday items, including upholstered furniture and children’s products, are putting our families in danger! They can contain pounds of toxic and cancer-causing fire retardants – chemicals that are released into our homes and make their way into our bodies.

For the first time ever, we have the chance to tell the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission that we want to prohibit the sale of products with toxic fire retardants. We need you to let the commission know that these chemicals have no place in your home, your body or the environment.

We need you to take action now to support a ban before January 19, the deadline for comments to the CPSC!

Use the form to tell CPSC that it should ban the sale of children’s products and furniture containing toxic fire retardants. You may use EWG's pre-written comments or add your own in the box below.
